Inspecting Your Personal Escape Respirator

  • Ensure the respirator body and cartridge holder are not distorted, dented or worn.
  • Examine the nose clip and mouth bit for signs of stiffness, distortion or loss of tension.
  • Examine the sealable storage bag/case for damage or tears.
  • Verify the expiration date of the cartridge or respirator has not been exceeded.
  • Examine the respirator cartridge for damage, carbon leaks, etc.
  • The owner’s depart or name should be on the respirator or carrying bag.
